For most people there are three important meals for each day. Breakfast, lunch and dinner. For people trying to lose weight each meal can bring confusion and stress wondering what to eat. This post will cover some basic foods to eat for lunch when trying to lose weight.
Good Foods For lunch When Trying To Lose Weight
1. Lean Chicken (not processed lunch meat but actual chicken)
2. Vegetable Burger
3. Tuna Made With Fat Free Mayonnaise
4. Fat Free Chicken Salad
5. Low Fat Peanut Butter With Low Sugar Jelly On Whole Grain Bread
6. Green Salad With Hard Boiled Egg Whites
7. Fat Free Cottage Cheese With a Fruit Side
8. Fat Free Cheese Sandwich On Whole Grain Bread
9. Soy Burger (Boca Burgers are pretty good)
10. Fat Free Soup (My Favorite)
As you can see the goal is to again like breakfast get an adequate amount of protein and GOOD carbs without filling yourself with to much fat, sodium and starches. Try and also add some fiber into the mix as well as the extra fiber will help keep you feeling fuller longer.
What About Going Out For Lunch?
While it is not hard to easy healthy for lunch as long as you brown bag it. Where it gets hard for most people is when they tend to eat lunch out. Here again use some common sense, skip the burger joints and instead go for a healthy sub from Subway. Or a salad at McDonald’s. There are healthy options now at most fast food restaurants so use them to your advantage.
